Some of the brands I've used:

Panasonic Toughbook (I'm typing this on a CF-18)
Itronix (old 6250, ix250, ix260)
Getac (some old - some new)

Even though most of them aren't natively 12VDC, they often have 12V auto
adpaters available. I used to have one for my CF27 that worked well.

I've got a few 12V input to ATX output adapters that I think are around 200W
total. They can be used with most of the Mini-ITX systems out there in
various forms.

Depending on your application, there have been a bunch of IX250 and IX260
systems on Epay recently. A lot of the selection process boils down to
whether you need laptops are vehicle mountable systems. Ramline and
Hammerhead make some nice vehicle-mount systems, but I've never owned one
personally.

Talk to your local police/state police about how they dispose of older

Our SAR teams have inherited some , and they work well.
