I tried to run RMSExpress (WINMOR) under Windows XP in a VirtualBox. It works
well in "telnet" mode but does not connect in Winmor Winlink mode. The reason
is that during the "connect" process there is an exchange of informations
between the server and my station and the delay from reception to transmission
of my tranceiver must be kept very short, using a normal Windows XP there is no
problem as this software has been designed for Windows exclusively but a
VirtualBox will add some delay to it and the server is already answering my
request while I have not yet reversed to reception. No problem with your
concern about the audio ports however.
