the version number of the driver for kernel frame buffer device is
0.4.0 but the Savage DirectFB gfxdriver carries the 0.3 version
number.

it's considered unstable, experimental and unfinished for a good
reason.  We'd be happy if this could improve but we only have limited
resources and will need your help.
