My distro is Gnome2 already, so all I have to do is the DirectFB and gtk+2 bits. But my next question: Does the use of a non-YUV colorspace (gtk+2 apparently only likes RGB colorspaces so I am using DSPF_RGB32) somehow prevent the card from using the "overscan-television-display-mode" timings that look great in Mplayer and dfbtv? I do notice quite the "flicker" (like when you are changing mode timings) when I launch MPlayer from my GTK+ app. b. -- Brian J. Murrell
