Last time I tried multi-application was, what, 0.9.14 I think.
Now last time I upgraded to .18 and decided to try again; while
I was at it I upgraded my kernel to 2.4.20 too.
Well, kernel compile went fine, and I can `modprobe fusion` (the
appropriate device appears on devfs). But if I try XDirectFB or
DFBSee, the machine hangs and doesn't even respond to ping.
I'm running Gentoo in an Athlon XP, with SiS630 (I know there is
no accel, but XDirectFB runs well enough for me, if I don't
enable multi).
I'd really like to get this to work so I can actually start
looking into DirectFB (Micah Dowty convinced me to write a DFB
video driver for PicoGUI), but it looks like fusion doesn't like
me :-) so I thought I should report, perhaps it's a known
problem with a known workaround.
