You are quite correct, simply removing matrox-sgram from directfbrc the screen
doesn't get corrupted.

Not this leads to a question, is it possible to add to /etc/directfbrc.XDirectFB
a no-matrox-sgram so that under normal circumstances it gets used and when
XDirectFB is used then the sgram does not get used?

Thanks again,
Duncan
