Yeah: worked that out eventually and got it all to build OK. I'm still getting the same bizarre slightly slow video / A-V sync problems I had before (with vdr-softdevice). I'll have a good look into it at some point soon! I've just acquired a Matrox G450 too, which I'll also try to get up and running with DirectFB (on a different PC). Hopefully, that should 'just work' out of the box, so to speak!
