Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with DirectFB (0.9.24)
and using the new viafb driver from CVS [0]

I've compiled up mplayer 1.0_pre6-r6 [1] (running under gentoo) and when i
use "-vo directfb" the video appears to have a blue tint to it, and an
absence of green. I've tried the following in /etc/fb.modes:

mode "720x576-50"
    geometry 720 576 720 576 32
    timings 35714 32 8 46 0 136 3
    bcast true # request overscan with (modified) viafb
endmode

and the original version:

mode "720x576-50"
    geometry 720 576 720 576 16
    timings 35714 32 8 46 0 136 3
    bcast true # request overscan with (modified) viafb
endmode

(I'm presuming that the 16/32 at the end of the geometry line is the
depth)

Along with a variety of combinations of /etc/directfbrc:

fbdev=/dev/fb0
#mode=640x480-60
mode=720x576-50
hardware
#primary-layer=00
#primary-layer=01
#primary-layer=02
depth=16
#depth=24
#depth=32

None of which have made any difference to the colours.

I'm running an Epia MII-12000 in the UK, and using the composite out
into a composite -> scart adapter.

If I run mplayer with '-vo fbdev' or '-vo fbdev2' the video plays back,
the colours look fine, but its not scaled correctly to fill the screen.

I see from the list archives there's been some recent work on including
the driver, but it seems to be working OK for most people. The weird
thing is, i recall experiencing a very similar problem with the
Unichrome drivers for Xorg a while back (6+ months), but they now work
fine. Can't remember if it was something i did (doh!), or just one of the
numerous upgrades to the drivers.

If anyone could help shed some light on it (green would be nice), I'd
appreciate it.

Cheers,
-vince
