Try using the latest DirectFB from CVS. There have been a number of changes to the unichrome driver since 0.9.24. The particular problem you are seeing is due to the hardware revision number of the CLE266 not being detected correctly. This is due to (a) a bug in the DirectFB unichrome driver (b) the information not being accessible to non-root users and (c) problems with the SetColorAdjustment implementation in the unichrome driver.
