I've had very mixed feelings about all this... On one hand,
With a league of people building things that Steve Jobs wanted, he created a computing landscape very much for right brained, creative people. It's easy to use, it looks wonderful, it flows well. However, What RMS was referring to, was his contribution of the "App Store" ..honestly, this is one of the things that seriously scares me, for all the obvious reasons. However, this one bit of precedent is now infecting everything, and creating a trusted computing world where only approved applications can run... ...and guess what, fellas? WE'RE NOT IN IT. -Thom 2011/10/7 David Chisnall <[email protected]> > Reading that made me feel faintly ashamed that I contribute to a GNU > project.
