It was just the built in hdmi audio. The device is still a bit new to me so I wasn't aware the sound worked that way until the sound test lol. I also have a USB headset I can try. I will look for this guide tonight after work.

Which device did you try at first stage:HDMI speakers or USB headset?
I guess it was HDMI.

Oh one thing worth mentioning though, the agnostep manager GUI wrapper does not launch from the GUI it keeps saying something about "desktop folder was erased, trying to recreate it". I also had not looked further to root cause that yet, but I am just running on top of the default RPI trixie OS which I installed fresh, then followed the instructions in INSTALL.md.

By default, the Wrapper for AgnostepManager uses 'agnostep --am' command from an 'xterm -e ...' which searches an installation folder with resources at '~/SOURCES/agnostep-desktop' path. 1) If the previous agnostep-desktop has been removed nor exists at the expected path, it tries to auto-repair itself, i.e., git clone again from upstream. So you saw this AlertPanel.
2) The next time; as it has been repaired, it should run as expected.
If not, do not hesitate to open an issue.

The 'Help' item to install help resources will be available from AgnostepManager too.
