As you all know NSI buggered up bigtime and screwed up the entire root SOA
for all zones under their administration. This was first mentioned on
NANOG and I brought it to the attention of NSI on the Domain Policy
list. They appologized later that day in their usual snippy way. But
today they applogized - properly - an internet first. And another first -
their going to give advance warning before they play around with the files
again. Another internet first.

Who knows - if NSI starts to play ball this way - things may just get a
bit better. See attached.

Joe Baptista

Your right there - God had nothing to do with it - this was a very human
mistake and I think it best we keep God out of it.

However - I am very pleased NSI has agreed with me that there needs to be
announcement anytime you guys plan major changes.

I might also advise that it would be nice to see outage or error
reports. I have no idea - nor have you provide any reason why it
happened. We all know whomever changed the SOA had no clue what they
were doing - and it would be nice to have the details published in public
and filed with the NTIA/DOC - your masters.

Is this matter in fact filed with NTIA/DOC?
