You're the one who doesn't understand business. Its not about price, but
SERVICE. The market will run the bad ones out and keep the good ones.
That's my take on it. And as one post here several months ago said "Why
should *I* cut my price from $30? People are paying it." I agree.

Sure, Namebargain is 9.99 a year, but that is run *by* register, for
register.
Register.com itself if you go to its site (which they do EXTENSIVE
advertising for) makes ZERO mention of it.
>From register's own pricing scheme:
$35/1 year, $35 each 1 year after
$70/2 years, $70 each 2 years after
$150/5 years, $150 each 5 years after
$299/10 years, $299 each 10 years after
Its total bullcrap when anyone says Register themselves isn't getting $35 a
domain. (Namebargain is getting little publicity for some reason and if you
ask *me*, its just a front to try to boost their sagging stock price)
Do you think they're going to let you be a reseller? No, they'll want your
customers.
My business model isn't to make money off registrations. Its to make money
on other services.

And then I have to put up with NSI like service? That's Bullmuffins!

That's what you're paying for. You're paying to belong to something you
*can* control. So quit yer whining and consider it a cheap way to be a
registrar.
And if you're so damn unhappy with shelling out money to Tucows, then run
your own damn registar. This male bovine excrement is really starting to
irritate me!
