I think your correct that new TLD's are and will rapidly become accepted.
Having a .com domain or .cc or . (pick your favorite pacific island or
bankrupt eastern european country code) will make little difference.  Now,
at that point of acceptance, unless OpenSRS is able to sell most or all of
them, OpenSRS resellers may find themselves offering only a fraction of the
domains being registered around the world.
