Sounds useful - but I would have thought ultimately a central SQL type database,
connected by XML would be the way to go.
In the meantime - I am sure most here are already aware of this, but there
exists a WHOIS proxy service, which will, in response to a query, sequentially
query most known WHOIS servers for either domain names or IP addresses, and
return the single result when it finds it:
whois.geektools.com
If you need a single WHOIS query facility - that's were to point it.
