Nope, you just need to change the nameserver host. For example,
dns1.tucows.com is registered as follows (output from whois.crsnic.net)
Server Name: DNS1.TUCOWS.COM
IP Address: 216.40.37.11
Registrar: TUCOWS.COM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: www.opensrs.org
Since this Nameserver is associated with "TUCOWS.COM, INC." for the
Registrar, you'd have to use that registrar to alter the host entry - this
can be done via the manage domain interface, as described earlier.
Once the change is made (make sure you have the DNS server working on the
new IP first!), the registry takes care of the rest :)
