Does opensrs have a position about the possible deletion of .org domains
already held by individuals or corporations, if they do not meet Icann's
non-profit requirements?
Icann dropped this ball years ago when they did not prevent Netsol from
allowing anyone from registering .orgs.
Imo, the obvious solution is a new tld, under .nnp or something like that.
Anyone a lawyer here that is familiar with class action suits? (v.s. Icann.)
Are the people running Icann doing bad acid?

here's some info and links.
this one is from
http://www.icann.org/melbourne/proposed-verisign-agreements-topic.htm
"In addition, VeriSign would establish an endowment of $5 million for the
purpose of funding the reasonable operating expenses of a global registry
for the specific use of non-profit organizations, and would make global
resolution resources available to the operator of the .org registry for no
charge for one year and on terms to be determined thereafter, for so long as
it operates the .com registry.
READ THIS The net result of this would be a .org registry returned, after
some appropriate transition period, to its originally intended function as a
registry operated by and for non-profit organizations."
There is no info. about protecting existing .org holders who do not qualify
as non-profit orgs.
Here's a forum on Icann's website.
