try godaddy.com . There are many registrars much cheaper than OpenSRS for
personal domain names. You can find them at www.internic.net or
www.icann.org

Subject: Joining OpenSRS?

> Hi everybody
>
> I am considering joining OpenSRS and becoming a registrar but I have a few
questions before I do. I am not a domain name speculator. I have never sold
and will not sell the names I have purchased. I simply own a number of
domain names which I am developing by myself very slowly. One every 4-5
months. Thus I need a cheap place to keep them as I develop them. I think
this is the right place to ask but if there is a better place for these
questions please let me know.

where I can transfer and register my own domain names?)

:o) Do I have to install, configure or otherwise mess around with the
OpenSRS software?
> If I must install the above, how much would it cost to have someone do it
for me?
> As you probably guessed I am a bit of a miser so if anyone can think of a
cheaper way to achieve what I want then please let me know.
