Lists are one-dimensional. Web pages two-dimensional.
Some people prefer 3 dimensions. When you take

off a list of one-dimension, it ends up in
dimension-1.
If you shine a light on an object of 3 dimensions, you
get an
object of 3-1 dimensions, (i.e. 2 dimensions), a
shadow.
When one shines a light on a one-dimensional list,
they get
an object of 1-1 dimension, (i.e. nothing).
