Subject: NSI default renewals upped to 2yrs

Hello All,

I was just told by a customer today (one whose had many run-ins
with NSI as of late) that when he tried to renew another one of his
NSI domains that expired while waiting for transfer he found the
automated online renewal would only process 2 year renewals.

Upon calling them, he was told that 1 year renewals were still
available, but not through the automated online system. Instead, he
would have to call another dept (they didn't know which one, or the
number) and that it would take a week or more because it would have
to be manually keyed (and we all know what that means).

Has anyone else come up against this? Can you confirm that this
is actually going on?
