Maybe, but there are also companies where certain things are treated 
with such high security that such a request would be denied by the 
employee, and be denied because of those "You yourself specifically 
told you I am never to divulge $SECRET to you or anyone else for 
security purposes."

A lot of companies put such requirements on passwords. (The "never 
share your password with anyone regardless of who they are" rule) ... 
My password at NSI/SRS/etc. would fall under that same blanket 
criteria. I'd flatly refuse such a request. (Admittedly, I'd also 
give them the password on termination day, because that's the kind of 
guy I am, but still...)

A password identifies "me", not "my company".
