I was under the impression manual renewals were possible by contacting
OpenSRS support. If not, what will happen to customers who have already
transferred their .co.uk domain to us? I know I have at least one that
will expire before the two-year OpenSRS mark.
I think renewal and transfer systems for .uk, .tv and .cc (to say nothing
of .biz, .info and future TLDs) should be worked out sooner rather than
later; it really should NOT be a low-priority task or an afterthought. (I
understand .ca renewals will be available soon, which I appreciate.)
I know there are a lot of other things that need work, too, but it's
recently been stated a couple of times that various renewals are being
intentionally delayed because nobody needs them yet. First of all, I
don't think that's quite true, and secondly, it's just asking for trouble
down the road. I hope you'll take care of it soon while it's a minor
issue and not a disaster.
