I have created a dns server on a domain I own. It has been several days and it is still not working. I went to Network Solutions and entered "host ns1.thedomain.com" and it comes up as record not found.. What the hell.. I need to use this name server and NSI refuses to recognize it.

Also I modified the IP address on another DNS server that we use. When I go into the Opensrs control panel it shows up with the correct IP. When I go to Network Solutions and enter "host ns1.anotherdomain.com" and it still shows the old IP.. Again it has been several days now..

So if editing and created DNS servers based on domains registered with OpenSRS does not work whatsoever then why does it exist..

Do I have to go move my domains that will have DNS Servers attached back to Network Solutions? I would hate to do that but I need my changes and creations of DNS servers to actually work..

 HELP!!

By the way, I am NOT talking about just adding the primary and secondary DNS servers that serve a domain. I am talking about actually creating a DNS server to be recognized as so called "host" by the registry etc.
