The Change of Registrar Authorization Request NetSol sends during the
transfer process includes a NIC tracking number. It's in the subject of the
message and in the message body.

In the subject:

Subject: [NIC-011205.66af] Change of Registrar Authorization Request

In the body:

  [NIC-011205.66af]:YOURDOMAIN.COM:930393:TRANSFER=YES

The tracking number in this example is NIC-011205.66af.

And yes, NetSol sends us bills for domains we've transfered ages ago. I've
seen so many that I assume NetSol always bills for domains that have been
transfered. If whois shows your domain is at a different registrar, ignore
the netsol bill. We and our customers have done this hundreds of times
with no apparent problems - after all NetSol is billing us for service they
aren't providing.
