If this wasn't the case, you would know it already, as OpenSRS would have issued a denial in no uncertain terms already, as they have done in the past when someone said something that was incorrect. My information on this is absolute. I wish I could give you more details. > Why does it matter?!? If they don't want the name, who cares how someone > else gets it? I would NEVER do that to a customer's domain name without their EXPRESSED consent. Tucows has no such consent, from me or from my customers. To follow normal procedure, and let someone else register it in the normal way VIA THE SYSTEM AND PROCEDURES for doing so, is one thing. This is vastly different. >> I know I would. I think I have the right to decide what I think right and wrong are, and to not engage in business with those whom I see acting in a wrong or unethical fashion, yes. As a matter of fact, that is the PRIMARY reason I came to Tucows in the first place, because they were on the right side of things. >> I would either find a registrar who is willing to listen and do things >> the right way, or I'd form a group to create our own registrar. >> Developing an SRS like system really is not that hard. > Really? I've developed one already on a much smaller scale for an alt.root registry, by myself. With some help, it wouldn't be too hard to do one on a large scale. But I don't think that will be necessary. I believe OpenSRS will do the right thing here, albeit a bit late. -- Best regards, William X Walsh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- Webcertificates.info SSL Certificates for resellers from $49ea --
