The start date on the sample domain posted to this list reflected the
original registration date, not the date their snap up service. Beyond
that, we simply don't know, OpenSRS is one again being extremely
unresponsive. That is the biggest problem, if OpenSRS feels that everything
is on the up and up, why haven't they stepped in with a simple explanation?

If the domain was simply snapped up and registered by someone who's company
name happened to be "Tucows marked for deletion", fine, post so on the list
and be done with it.

I could? As an RSP, if one of my customers doesn't renew their domain, I
can auction it off? How? Where do I enter the username/password and change
the nameservers?

In my case, I spell out to my customers exactly what will happen if they
don't renew their domains. I look, at best, incompetitent, at worst, an
outright lyer if this doesn't happen.

The nice thing about standards, there is enough for everyone to have their own.
