Find the host provider by running a whois on the domain. The name servers
listed are the lead to the host.

We usually do this for the spam complainer and e-mail them the host. You
look like the good guy (which you would be) and the spam complainer knows
you are not part of the problem, you are part of the solution. You may also
gain a customer for the good support. I speak from experience, otherwise
the other 4 replies say the same.

FOOTNOTE:
Contrary to my general "I hate sensitive people" attitude on this list, I
put the general public that comes in contact with SpyProductions on a
pedestal. My point is customer service is all we have to offer, even to
those NOT doing business with us. Bad news travels fast, good news takes
triple overtime to generate. You obviously have customer support in mind
Genie, perhaps a canned response in regards to this specific matter is worth
putting together, one that includes the spammers host contact info.

Subject: What to do if a domain owner spams?

We have been receiving reports of some domain owners
spamming....

What should we do? Is there and OpenSRS/Tucows email address
we can forward these reports to?

Cheers
