Actually, while I agree that when I read the letter it does not look
deceptive at all, but to the novice, it is. If you are ignorant to the
fact that Domain Reg of America is NOT your registrar, basically seeing
things like "To insure your domain is not unavailable", etc., can be
confusing to most people, and we have seen this as the case on many
occasions.. Also, (at least in our case) unlike the Credit card letters
you mention above, Domain Reg of America charges more than we do to
switch. So we get screwed, and the client gets screwed...
In any event, we are just going to be more specific in the way we
communicate with our clients so they understand who "thednsplace.com" is,
vs. Domain Reg of America.
