Layoffs may be coming for them, but I wouldn't take everything that the poster says as completely factual. The one specific point in their post that stands out as incorrect is the item about Verisign only wanting the registry side of the business. If that were true, then they wouldn't have made the back room deal to be able to keep the registrar side. Remember as part of their contract to keep the registry they agreed to sell the registrar side of the business. We all know what happened there...
