Jamie,

Forgive me but if this is a billing issue there is something very new. I'd
like to hear about this. I've been getting billed earlier and earlier, but
never held hostage prior to the expiration date -- on the expiration date --
buy never prior. Please advise.

If the email is valid, then make sure you/they double confirm, i.e. send your
e-mail twice (they tend to get lost). If the e-mail address is no longer
valid, then that may be your problem. Your read-out (below) said there was no
confirmation, i.e. "Transfer timed out waiting for owner approval."

If you don't get this out by the expiration date, you'll have to pay their
ransom. There's a trick to pay just one year. You have to do a multi-year pay,
then select 1-year. They make it most easy to pay two years.

Best, Loren

To Quote the Simpsons, "A little from column A, and a little from column B".
The email address is valid, but I've initiate this transfer 3 times and only
gotten the "Notify" email from NSI once. And when I sent that one back
correctly, it was STILL rejected due to that bogus billing issue.

Jamie Price

I may disagree. Did you say, "June, when the domain will renew?" So the
domain
has NOT expired?

What is the issue here? No ack from [EMAIL PROTECTED] or no release from NSI due
to
non-payment of an invoice due in June?

Please advise.

Best, Loren

There really is no recourse unfortunately.

I hate to put it this way, but this is why I recommend transferring
domains many months in advance of their expiration, especially from
NSI.
