If we look in whois for domain names then we see that a lot has gone to
one "client".
For our domains anyway. They are also yet ready for buying!!!
Unbelieveble!
.info LR2 was not a fair process, however Tucows was quite successful
Have a look at

Myself I decided the last day (July 1st) to add my important name (medizintechnik) to Sitename
and I got the name with Sitename. (had already done a sunrise challenge for it).
I had submitted the name also with 34 other queues with lots of pre-reg fees and lots of work.
I am still not sure whether it was the right decision to cancel my summer holidays
just for a domain name.
Thats what the current registration process is telling me:
If you really need a domain name you have to invest lots of money.
And you must concentrate on a few names to be succesful (or you must be rich).
Concerning my clients submissions, same problem like you.
4 of 600 success rate at Tucows. I wrote some emails to the new owners for a few domains,
most of them already considering to sell (but prices are much to high).
But soon is coming .eu, hope you will have more luck with it.
