Well, in principle there's nothing wrong with marketing to another RSP's 
customers, but it appears they are doing it by mining WHOIS, which is 
definitely prohibited.

And yes, I'd like to think that intentionally deceptive marketing is not 
okay.

As I said, I'm starting to feel like the last honest car salesman. A good 
portion of my day is spent rescuing customers from unethical and/or 
incompetent companies in this business. OpenSRS allowing people like this 
to continue as resellers doesn't make me feel better about it.

I'm sure that with a couple of hours of investigation they could easily 
close this reseller's account for violations of the WHOIS policy, so it 
appears they don't want to.

The danger for OpenSRS is that this laissez-faire attitude starts to make 
everyone think "why should I follow the rules if other people are getting 
away with it"? And then you get known as the company that allows 
sleazebag resellers.
