Well, in principle there's nothing wrong with marketing to another RSP's customers, but it appears they are doing it by mining WHOIS, which is definitely prohibited. And yes, I'd like to think that intentionally deceptive marketing is not okay. As I said, I'm starting to feel like the last honest car salesman. A good portion of my day is spent rescuing customers from unethical and/or incompetent companies in this business. OpenSRS allowing people like this to continue as resellers doesn't make me feel better about it. I'm sure that with a couple of hours of investigation they could easily close this reseller's account for violations of the WHOIS policy, so it appears they don't want to. The danger for OpenSRS is that this laissez-faire attitude starts to make everyone think "why should I follow the rules if other people are getting away with it"? And then you get known as the company that allows sleazebag resellers. ------------------------------------ Robert L Mathews, Tiger Technologies
