Hello Friends, I am facing some problem and request your assistance.
I am providing free web hosting on one of my web site. About one month ago I had received a complaint from my web hosting provider that a member subdomain hosted on free servers in committing a fraud by collecting credit card information of AOL customers. As expected, I immediately deleted the web site. However, there are more serious troubles. The Seattle Police has registered a case against our web site and restrained our webhosting company against hosting our web site. As you will agree, we, or the webhosting company are all innocent. I also believe that given a legal case host may co-operate with the Seattle Police by sharing them whatever information they have regaring the web site. Kindly advise us suitably on how to: 1. Proceed against the case and get our name cleared. We are based in India so it is quite a task to visit the Seattle Police to plead our case. Our web hosting company is paranoid and is not co-operating with us. 2. In the meanwhile kindly suggest how do we get the web site ready and running. 3. How do we protect against this in future.
