I THOUGHT about providing free email. It is a GREAT medium for viral
advertising,
and it is EASY to sell. ALAS, it is ALSO great for SPAM! Hence, I never
did it! All MY software takes this stuff into account so it couldn't be
hacked.

I ALSO had an auction program every bit as nice as Ebays! ALAS, too easy
to comit fraud!

I had a "hacker" that was trying to hack my system, and they were barking
down the wrong tree. Unfortunately, they recently found a copy of formmail,
copied from a server, and NEVER used otherwise. I DELETED it once I found
out.

Because of this, I am going to handle affiliates as follows:
1. Must have a LEGITIMATE, controlled by an ENGLISH speaking company, email
address that is NOT free! A LOT of email now is sent through russian,
chinese,
and japanese servers.
2. MUST have their own domain.
3. The domain must be paid for.
4. ALL income "due" to a spammer will be forfeited to the company.
5. I MIGHT even require that they are a customer, or give me a valid credit
card to recover improperly obtained commissions, and to check everything
else.(of course I would be willing to accept corporate articles, or SSL
registration instead).

That is more than anyone else requires, but I am sick of this. I just wrote
an Email to Yahoo AND my ISP appologizing for the 1000+ emails sent from
my server by a hacker.
