Actually, it's been this way since the .biz/info registries opened up.

"Invalid Data" is the error that the registry returns when there is more than one problem. We are trying to get that change to something more helpful.

99% of the time, one of the problems is phone numbers. The format must be exactly +1.23456789 (where 1 is the country code)

I had to make some changes to my tech contact information also. Everything was working fine, but then I started getting Invalid data error messages for .info and .biz domain names. Tucows must have made a change a few days ago on the backend that doesn't change the tech contact information passed through the API/RWI to +1 format. It sure would be nice to know about changes like this in functionality before I start getting error messages through the API.

Hi Charles,

I found the error. Even though the order form (Pending Orders -
Tech info) shows you can use:

123-456-7890

and

+1.2223334444

formats for a phone, it will only all you to use the +1 format. Not
sure what the scoop is but that is the only way I could get it to go
through. I could use the format 123-456-7890 under the other areas,
the tech are will only accept the +1. format for some reason....

Mike,

You really should send the order details (domain name, order
number, etc) to Support. There isn't enough here to help
trouble shoot, and anyone responding would only be able to
provide a poorly educated guess.

Love to help, but there just isn't enough :)

Subject: US Registration

I am trying to register a .US domain through the pending
list and it keeps telling me "Invalid Data" All is filled
in correctly. Can someone at 2Cows please advise so we can
get this domain secured?

Thanx,
