According to a post from Chuck just a few days ago, a change was made server side to longer automatically reformat the telephone numbers since someone at your organization realized that you are not allowed to modified the data supplied by the registrant... So the change would effect people who either don't validate the user supplied telephone numbers client side OR have an "invalid" formatted telephone number stored in the RWI for tech contact...
