A quick note on this with two comments (marketing is going to kill me for
this).

First, we all feel that this is a great idea but has a lot of complexity
(where, do we sponsor the whole thing or some of it or what, how long, when)
and everytime we start to discuss it we get bogged down in the detail. The
"where" is probably the toughest issue, especially if we don't make it a
regular event.

All of that being said we are PLANNING to do an event (a dinner, an evening
or something else) in connection with the ICANN conference in Montral in
June. Now since marketing will not be happy that I have broken the seal on
that let me try and help them. Please comment on the following:

- how many of you would actually come to an event in Montreal in June (do we
get a table for 6 or a hall)?
- what would you like to see covered or should we all just drink beer?
- would you also like to do more formal things like have sessions?
- would doing a regular online event using Placeware or Webex or something
like that be better on a regular basis so that it didn't require
international travel?

Any and all feedback is great as always.

As for the ICANN constituency, we will be very hands-on in getting as many
of you involved as possible. We have been pushing for this for some time.

Regards
