A seal that looks as official as the "verified by verisign" ones (i.e. no cows on it) would be far more useful to us. And if companies want to be on a referral list SO BADLY put them on and make them pay for it. Even better, do something like Overture (or contract with Overture!) and let us resellers bid for ranking on a special page of only Tucows resellers (i.e. no other registrars) -- that would shut the whiners up and let the players play.

"No, this helps the large reseller get larger and does NOTHING for the smaller reseller to get to the magic 1000 domains or 100 per month."After following the hundreds of e-mails on this subject, I get the feeling that there is an assumption that the referral list is a really great thing, and by being on it opens some floodgates of customers flocking to your site. Well, I hate to break the bubble, but in the real world, that just isn't the case. The referral list just isn't all its cracked up to be, or at least assumed to be by the ones "not on the list". I say trash the referral list concept. It's useless. Instead provide some type of "seal" for the reseller's who want or for some reason need third party confirmation that they really are a tucows reseller...
