Mike (et. al.),
Do you honestly believe that being on the referral list
is going to send you boatloads of customers?! Have you
looked at the referral list recently? It took me forever
to even FIND the darn thing; it's buried quite deep on the
OpenSRS webpage. And to be perfectly frank, there's no
telling how many resellers are listed...it shows three at
a time at random.
How many prospective domain registration customers do you
suppose find themselves on the OpenSRS website to begin
with? Wouldn't the vast majority of people on the OSRS
site be ones that are looking to set up a reseller account
to do larger quantities? Maybe I'm wrong and somebody can
correct me and tell me they get lots of their business from
the referral list...but I doubt it.
There's so much rhetoric swirling around this issue, and
everybody's got their panties in a wad, but frankly, I just
can't conjure up any physical model of the universe where
I'd want to go trolling for customers who happened to land
on the OpenSRS website...it's just not what I would consider
"fertile ground".
(FWIW, I don't know if we would qualify to be listed, and
I haven't taken the time to determine for sure or contact
OSRS about it, because I believe it to be a waste of my
time.)

Eric Longman

What! We already spend enough on advertising, the least 2Cows can do is show
our name on a referral list (Like they did before they got this bright idea
of just the top so many sellers get listed) without pay-per click. If they
do that, we will defiantly liquidate and get out of the domain business with
2Cows as I don't see how this is helping the small guys to succeed.
