Okay, somebody sit me down and talk to me like I'm a two year old.  Say we
open up the roots and allow any idiot to register whatever root name they
want.

Within a couple years won't we have a .com without .com all over again?  All
the good names will be taken, and we'll be no better off.  In addition,
we'll have lost the ability to add a .BIZ or a .INFO to try and open things
up a bit.

Or am I missing something?
