Once the domain expires it is put on Registrar-Hold for 40 days, the
registrant may renew the domain during this phase with the current reseller
or any other OpenSRS RSP. After the 40 days, we send the domain to the
registry where the redemption period kicks in for 30 days, if the customer
still wants the domain, the owner may contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] to revive
the account.
Some companies can monitor this domain for a fee, OpenSRS does not offer
these services.

Subject: REGISTRAR_HOLD status

> We have been trying to register a new domain that seemed to be
unregistered, but when we have searched in opensrs.com we have discoverd
that this domain was registered previously but when expiration arrived last
month it was not renewed. Finally we have noticed that its status is:
Status: REGISTRAR-HOLD. The registrar is opensrs, of course.
> My question is : Can this status be due to not reaching the registrant for
renewal? For how long is this status mantained? Can we apply for this domain
in case the domainis not renewed?
> Thanks in advance for your help
