To further clarify, the REDEMPTIONPERIOD begins when a registrar issues the DELETE command. Oh, and the dollar amounts to Verisign Registry (NetSol Registrar isn't involved*) would be $85+6 for redemption + renewal versus $6 for renewal. *Remember Verisign is trying to split the registrar business off (the first step was renaming it NetSol) to help improve their stock price and make shareholders happy.
