Hi Brian,

We had to hunt a highjacking case down 18 months or so ago for a client of ours.
 The domain went through transfers with several registrars before we were able
to get it transfered back.

Each of the registrars we dealt kept a copy of the current whois record (as
OpenSRS does) taken at the time of transfer.  Don't know if all registrars do
this, but it makes sense.
