It is safe to click on the link - it brings you to a screen where you
can DECLINE
the transfer - resulting screen has two radio buttons - one to decline
and one
to approve

We always click on the link to make sure customer has not yet approved
the transfer

if they have not approved the transfer yet we send the customer a nice
collection
of the links that point to DROA scam reports, lawsuit that was won by
Register.Com
resulting in injunction against DROA to give customer a good idea that
they were
not the only ones who fell for this scam

do a google search on DROA SCAM or droa fraud - it will give you a good
number
of links to include in your email to a customer who was misled by DROA

our email also includes friendly instructions how to undo the deed - to
go to DROA
website, obtain their toll free number, call their support plus email as
well requesting
cancellation of the transfer and immediate refund, DROA usually agrees
to the refund
quoting the customer will get refund in 6 weeks

we also include a link to ftc.gov and recommend that customer files
fraud report
online there if they feel they were mislead

all customers who are warned in time are happy we warned them an remain
with
us.

be assured ALL OF YOUR customers are getting DROA renewal notices -
all of ours are

those notices are usually 120 days before domain expiration date....
time to
compile list of emails on all of our customers and send them SCAM
warning
letter again... it worked great when we did so last August

cheers
Genie
