Yes, Texas is required to charge it, its is only an additional 41 cents so $5.41 for domains. As for pricing who knows... They continue to lower and lower all their prices. IE their SSL certs, yes the exact ones OpenSRS sells, GeoTrust QuickSSL are only $25 ($27 after tax) and OpenSRS they are what $69? I understand the price difference with domains, but that much with certs is just rediculous.
