Except that Nominet has a few faults as well, IMO. In particular, being asynchronous limits the manageability of domains somewhat. Also, the fact that they're using their own proprietary protocol, and that they also dabble in direct registrations (though it likely helps decrease the price of 'registrar' registrations) are both minuses in my books.
