Only if it has been used recently, only if no more authoritative data exists, 
and the queries succeed (? which should never happen).

So if you have pointed it at a holding domain, you control the TTL not 
Verisign (or whoever).

This 72 hour on delegations should never cause a problem - has been discussed 
to death in comp.protocols.dns.bind amongst other places.
