Question becomes Sophie is he willing to work on integration into LO, as
well as to provide support for other teams to create dictionaries for

A major feature I find irritating in word processors is the lack of
dictionary syncing between multiple machines. I have a laptop,
desktop,
and
occasional use of other machines, and would really like to be able
to take
my dictionary with me. Whilst I can use my own git repository, or
shared
net
space to provide such a service, having this online as part of a
document
suite would be a really neat feature. At the very least, having a
button
which allows you to import/export the dictionary easily to remote
sources
could be a neat addition.
What do others think?

same for me, and for my students.
my solution is the folowing :
http://www.dicollecte.org/home.php?prj=fr
each time a word isn't in the curent dictionary, i propose this
word to
dicollecte.
then the word is corectly added to the next dictonary and will be
available
for me on my other computers, and my students

As far as I can see there are only support for French and Latvian
languages.
As a part of the website team should we be looking to setup a
LibreOffice dictionary editor based on the dicollecte code hosted on
google?
http://code.google.com/p/dicollecte/
Yes, please... or at least the code could be available
http://code.google.com/p/dicollecte/downloads/list
Why isn't there? It's a deception and annoying, plus when the
developpers and administrator declare are getting tired
Don't feel sad, I'm sure there should be a good reason for that.
Olivier has done a lot of work to get this tool online and he always
wanted to share it. He presented it on the lingu OOo list and at
OOoCon, but he didn't had a lot of feedback at that time.
I am lingüist, and I spent a lot of time looking for this tool or,
better, for include my language in a community project, as dicollect,
for that goal. It's a key issue for users and minority languages
because there is not even commercial products.
So it's great that he has work on this one. Tomorrow, I'll ping
Olivier and ask him to get in touch with you and all of you who want
to work with his tool
In side client, it could be a great service if an spellchecker,
dictionary, thesaurus... server available on line (in mode syncing
over a user profile)
Yes, that's true. Let's go on with this tomorrow (my south part of the
world time ;-)
In the mean time, I wish every body an happy new year, if yours is
tonight :)
kind regards
Sophie
