I'm new to the list so a quick introduction is probably good: It's Mako
here from MIT Free Culture.

The new CC 3.0 license deeds use a lego logo to note that a license
allows "remixing." Here's an example:

  http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/

As you can see, it looks quite a lot like the freeculture.org logo. In
fact, it seems to be the logo! Two questions and my own opinion:

First, did folks here know about this?

Second, is this something that we want?

I have slightly mixed feelings. While free culture definitely *does*
support remixing, it also supports verbatim copying (and fair use, and a
variety of other things). Both, in mind are equally a part of free
culture. Perhaps I'm just too familiar with freeculture.org but the lego
blocks say "free culture" to me, and not "remix" and I think I'd like to
keep it that way.

What do other here think?

Regards,
Mako
