The LEGO logotype is trademarked. I don't think the bricks themselves are.

So you should be OK. And since you aren't calling them "legos" their lawyers
won't be after you for trademark dilution. ;-)

I've always favoured recycling-style logos, but bricks work well to 
give more of
an idea of building something of lasting value.
